Add beautiful colour, texture and a soft natural sheen to your fibre-art projects with this luxurious Tussah Silk Sliver, imported from Italy.

Tussah silk has a lovely lustre and a slightly more textured character than Mulberry silk. Its long fibres blend beautifully with wool and other fibres, making it ideal for adding colour, shine and visual interest to your work.

Use small wisps as surface embellishment in wet felting, Nuno felting and 2D wool painting, or blend the silk with wool for spinning to create your own distinctive yarn. It can also add beautiful texture and sheen to weaving projects.

Please note that silk does not felt firmly by itself. For felting projects, it is best used together with wool so the wool fibres can hold the silk securely in place.
